Punjab government ends Eidul Azha lockdown
The Punjab government has ended a lockdown enforced in the province on the occasion of Eidul Azha to prevent a spike in cases ahead of schedule.

A notification from the provincial government stated that the lockdown was being ended on midnight August 2 instead of August 5. A tweet from the Punjab government's account said the decision was taken after "encouraging results from smart samples collected from cattle markets".
