COVID-19: Pakistan's confirmed cases jumped to 64,028, recovery rate rose to 22,305

The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Pakistan rose to 64,028 on Thursday after new infections were confirmed in the country.

The province-wise break up of the total number of cases are as follows:

Total confirmed cases: 64,028

• Sindh: 25,309

• Punjab: 22,964

• Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 8,842

• Balochistan: 3,928

• Islamabad Capital Territory: 2,100

• Gilgit-Baltistan: 658

• AJK: 227

Deaths: 1,317

• Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 432

• Sindh: 396

• Punjab: 410

• Balochistan: 43

• Gilgit-Baltistan: 9

• Islamabad Capital Territory: 22

• AJK: 5

More than 5.8 million people have been reported infected with the novel coronavirus globally and over 359,000 have died, according to a Reuters tally.
