Hot and humid weather is expected in most parts of the country during the next twelve hours.

However more rain-wind and thundershower is expected in Kashmir, north eastern Punjab, Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh and Balochistan.

Islamabad and Karachi twenty-eight degree centigrade, Lahore thirty-one, Peshawar thirty, Quetta twenty-three, Gilgit twenty-two, Murree nineteen and Muzaffarabad twenty-five degree centigrade.

According to Met office forecast for Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, cloudy weather with chances of rain and wind/thundershower is expected in Srinagar, Jammu, Leh, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian and Baramulla.

Srinagar, Jammu, Shopian and Baramulla twenty-two degree centigrade, Leh twelve, Pulwama twenty-one and Anantnag twenty degree centigrade.

A joint parliamentary party meeting of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) has been summoned on July 18.

According to details, the joint parliamentary party meeting of PTI and PML-Q will be held at the Punjab Assembly secretariat on July 18, a day after the by-elections on 20 Punjab provincial assembly seats.

According to sources, consultations will be held on the situation after the by-elections the province in the meeting and the next course of action will be decided.

Sources said that PTI secretary general Asad Umar will also attend the meeting.

Pakistan reports 693 covid cases in last 24 hours
 Pakistan has reported no death in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has risen to 1,541,645. The nationwide tally of fatalities stands at 30,413 on Friday.

According to the latest figures by the National Institute of Health (NIH), at least 693 persons were tested positive for COVID-19 across the country in the past 24 hours.

Pakistan has conducted 21,137 tests in the past 24 hours out of which 693 persons were tested positive for the disease. The COVID Positivity Ratio was recorded at 3.27 percent.

Abdul Quddus Bizenjo issues orders to remove encroachment on flood waterways

Chief Minister Balochistan, Abdul Quddus Bizenjo has ordered the Irrigation Department and Deputy Commissioner Quetta to remove encroachment on flood waterways and nullahs in Quetta and its surrounding areas on war footing basis.

In a statement on Wednesday, Abdul Quddus Bizenjo also directed the district administration to launch an operation for immediate cleaning of the closed drains across the city.

He also directed the concerned authorities to take precautionary measures before the next rains in Quetta and other parts of the province.

Shehbaz Sharif inaugurats Blue ,Green Line Metro Bus Service
Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif inaugurated Blue Line and Green Line Metro Bus Service routes in Islamabad on Thursday.

Addressing the inaugural ceremony, the Prime Minister said that provision of a regular, clean and punctual bus service is a major step of the incumbent government.

He said that launching of Green Line and Blue Line Metro Bus Services particularly in prevailing economic situation of the country is appreciable and important step of the government.

Shehbaz Sharif directed the concerned authorities to complete all the related facilities of the project including the passenger stations on these routes at the earliest.

The Prime Minister also laid foundation stone of the building of Metro Bus Operation Command and Control Centre.

The Green Line Metro Bus Service will run between Bhara Kahu area to PIMS Hospital Islamabad. The 15.5 kilometres long route will have eight stations.

On this occasion, the Prime Minister announced free-travel for one month in these two Metro Bus Services.

The Blue Line Metro Bus Service will run between Koral Chowk to PIMS Hospital Islamabad. The 20 kilometres long route will have 13 stations.

Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah also addressed the ceremony while Chairman Capital Development Authority Amir Ali Ahmad briefed the participants about salient features of the projects.
