Corona claims 6 more deaths across the country

Pakistan has reported 6 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 1,516,150. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 30,287 on Wednesday.

According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) 758 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Province-wise Details, Punjab remains the worst-hit province in terms of deaths followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Till now 13,535 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab, 8,085 in Sindh, 6,291 in KP, 1,019 in Islamabad, 789 in Azad Kashmir, 377 in Balochistan and 191 in GB.

Supreme Court order to ''de-sealing'' Monal Restaurant

Supreme Court (SC) of Pakistan on Tuesday has annulled the decision of Islamabad High Court (IHC) and ordered to “de-seal” Monal restaurant. According to details, the decision of IHC was not signed and short.

The lawyer of Monal restaurant argued that the High Court has not given any copy of the short notice nor of the detailed decision.

The judge of the Supreme Court Justice Ijaz-ul- Ahsan remarked, how can a restaurant be sealed without a written court order?

Will never give NRO to any corrupt person, Imran Khan

Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan on Tuesday said that the person standing in front of you (himself) will never give a National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) to any of the corrupt people.

While addressing a ceremony about Women Empowerment, the premier said that nations get destroyed if they punish the weak and go easy on the powerful.

The PM also said that the problem in our country is that the powerful do not want to implement the laws on themselves and to do so they threaten the dismissal of governments if the authorities do not kneel before them.

PML-Q rejects Aleem Khan as CM Punjab

Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) on Tuesday has rejected nomination of Former Senior Minister of Punjab Assembly Abdul Aleem Khan for the post of Punjab Chief Minister (CM).

According to sources, it is better that Usman Buzdar stays CM of Punjab if Aleem Khan the second option the PML-Q leadership said.

As per details, senior Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leadership held a meeting with Minister for water resources Moonis Elahi and Minister for Housing Tariq Bashir Cheema.

They discussed what new strategies to adopt according to the matters of changing the Chief Minister of Punjab, sources further revealed.

"No-trust motion'' PDM, PPP reach consensus against PM Imran

Top leadership of opposition including President Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Shehbaz Sharif, co-chairman of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Asif Ali Zardari and head of Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) Maulana Fazlur Rehman have reached a consensus on no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan.

The meeting was attended by senior leadership of PML-N, JUI-F and PPP. After the meeting, Akram Durrani told the media that everything will become clear in coming days and soon the date of the no-confidence motion will be announced.

Meanwhile, Opposition Leader of Senate Gillani said that legal experts are doing their job.

Rana Sanaullah said that during the meeting Asif Ali Zardari has invited opposition leadership to attend last phase of PPP’s long march.
