"No-trust motion'' PDM, PPP reach consensus against PM Imran

Top leadership of opposition including President Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Shehbaz Sharif, co-chairman of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Asif Ali Zardari and head of Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) Maulana Fazlur Rehman have reached a consensus on no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan.

The meeting was attended by senior leadership of PML-N, JUI-F and PPP. After the meeting, Akram Durrani told the media that everything will become clear in coming days and soon the date of the no-confidence motion will be announced.

Meanwhile, Opposition Leader of Senate Gillani said that legal experts are doing their job.

Rana Sanaullah said that during the meeting Asif Ali Zardari has invited opposition leadership to attend last phase of PPP’s long march.

Corona claims 9 more deaths across the country

Pakistan has reported 9 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 1,515,392. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 30,281 on Tuesday.

According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) 378 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Province-wise Details, Punjab remains the worst-hit province in terms of deaths followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Till now 13,530 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab, 8,085 in Sindh, 6,291 in KP, 1,019 in Islamabad, 788 in Azad Kashmir, 377 in Balochistan and 191 in GB.

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) central president Mian Shahbaz Sharif has said that Imran Niazi's irrational talk is a matter of concern for the state of Pakistan.

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) central president Mian Shahbaz Sharif has said that no-confidence motion is the only way to save the country from economic bankruptcy.

Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Mian Shahbaz Sharif said that the no-confidence motion was a demand of the people and the opposition was abiding by the decision of the people.

Mian Shahbaz Sharif said that the current government is responsible for inflation, its wrong policies and decisions.

He said that getting rid of the present government is the first condition to get rid of inflation.

PML-N central president Mian Shahbaz Sharif said that Imran Niazi's irrational talk was a matter of concern for the state of Pakistan.

PTI's Jahangir Tareen group meets today to discuss no-confidence motion

 Jahangir Tareen group will hold an important meeting today to discuss and finalize its strategy regarding opposition’s much hyped no-confidence motion and evolving political situation.

According to details, the meeting will be held at Lahore residence of estranged PTI leader Jahangir Tareen; however, he himself will address the huddle through video link as he is in London for medical checkup.

The group will also share details about its contact with other disgruntled lawmakers of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

A day earlier, the head of Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman said that they have the required numbers for no-confidence motion.

Former President of Pakistan Rafiq Tarar has passed away on Monday after prolonged illness. According to details, Rafiq Tarar was shifted to hospital after complaint of chest pain.

Muhammad Rafiq Tarar had served as the ninth president of Pakistan from January 1998 until his resignation in June 2001, and prior to that as a senator from Punjab in 1997.

Before entering politics, Tarar served as senior justice of the Supreme Court of Pakistan from 1991 to 1994 and as the 28th Chief Justice of Lahore High Court from 1989 to 1991
