PM Imran Khan launches spring tree plantation drive
Prime Minister Imran Khan launched Spring Tree Plantation Drive 2022 in Islamabad today (Tuesday) on the occasion of World Scout Day.

Following planting 1.4 billion trees under ten billion tree Tsunami program, a target of planting five hundred and forty million trees has been set for the spring tree plantation campaign.

Seven hundred and fifty thousand scouts of Pakistan Boy Scouts Association will also participate in this drive to achieve the target.

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Tuesday has paid tribute to the supreme sacrifices of Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad (RuF) martyrs and spirit of the great people of Pakistan.

In a message on Twitter handle of Director General of military media wing Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), it was stated, “Today marks 5 years of Operation RuF. Aimed at consolidating gains of two decades long War on Terror and eliminating remnants of terrorists across the country, RuF placed security of people of Pakistan as core objective.”
The DG ISPR added, “Operations continue successfully as the country transitioned from uncertainty to peace.”
“The achievements of RuF have only been possible due to blood of martyrs and resilience of our people,” DG ISPR stated.

Former President, Co-chairman Pakistan People s Party (PPP) Asif Ali Zardari and President Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) Shahbaz Sharif will hold meeting today (Tuesday) to discuss matters pertaining to no-confidence motion.

The meeting between the two leaders will be held at Bilawal House Lahore.

Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari will host a dinner in honor of former Punjab Chief Minister and his delegation.

During the meeting, the political situation, progress on the no-confidence motion will be discussed while the two leaders will finalize the anti-government strategy in the meeting.

Earlier on February 5, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and former President Asif Ali Zardari met PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif in Model Town.

Pakistan records 961 fresh corona cases in a day
Pakistan has reported 13 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 1,502,641. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 30,053 on Tuesday.

According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) 961 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Punjab remains the worst-hit province in terms of deaths followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Till now 13,461 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab, 8,030 in Sindh 6,210 in KP, 1,005 in Islamabad, 784 in Azad Kashmir, 374 in Balochistan, and 189 in GB.

Pakistan reports 31 more corona deaths in day
Pakistan has reported 31 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 1,501,680. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 30,040 on Monday.

According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) 1,360 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.
Punjab remains the worst-hit province in terms of deaths followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Till now 13,454 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab, 8,030 in Sindh 6,207 in KP, 1,004 in Islamabad, 783 in Azad Kashmir, 373 in Balochistan, and 189 in GB.
Furthermore 564,522 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 499,063 in Punjab 214,955 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 133,839 in Islamabad, 42,669 in Azad Kashmir 35,274 in Balochistan and 11,358 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
