Opposition parties are united in Parliament: Shahid Khaqan
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) senior leader and former Prime Minister (PM) Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Tuesday has said that opposition parties are united inside the Parliament.

Talking to media, the PML-N leader told that Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) willingly parted its way. If PPP wants to rejoin opposition parties’ alliance Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) then it needs to regain the trust, he added.

Shahid Khaqan Abbasi further said that we will bring no-confidence motion after completing numbers.

Earlier, the-ex-PM said that National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and accountability courts are unaware of amendment ordinance despite passage of four years.

He also criticized the so-called justice in the country, asking whether the anti-graft watchdog was established only for housing schemes.

The Pakistan Tehreek Insaf (PTI) leaders have mortgaged State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) before International Monetary Fund (IMF), he added.

Shahid Khaqan Abbasi further said that IMF will now directly dictate SBP.

Corona claims 37 more lives across pakistan
Pakistan has reported 37 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 1,465,910. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 29,553 on Tuesday.

According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) 2,799 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.
Punjab remains the worst-hit province in terms of deaths followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Till now 13,267 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab, 7,906 in Sindh 6,065 in KP, 990 in Islamabad, 764 in Azad Kashmir, 372 in Balochistan, and 189 in GB.

PM Imran to visit Quetta, Naushki tomorrow
It merits mention that Pakistan Army said on Saturday that a total of 20 terrorists were killed during Panjgur and Naushki operations and Security forces have completed the clearance operation.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), terrorists attacked security forces camps at Naushki and Panjgur late evening on 2nd Feb, and both attacks were repulsed successfully by prompt response from troops at both locations.

In Naushki, nine terrorists were killed while four security personnel including an officer embraced shahadat during shoot out with terrorists while repulsing the attack.

In Panjgur, security forces repulsed the terrorist attack after intense exchange of fire and terrorists fled from area. Security Forces carried out clearance operation to hunt down hiding terrorists in the vicinity.

ECP disqualifies Ali Amin Gandapur's brother over code of conduct violation
Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Monday has disqualified Federal Minister for Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan Ali Amin Gandapur’s brother Umar Amin Gandapur over violation of code of conduct in connection with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) local government polls.

According to details, the commission has declared Umar Amin Gandapur as ineligible for the post of Dera city’s mayor slot and barred him from continuing election campaign in the area.

On the other hand, ECP has also lifted the ban on Ali Amin Gandapur on visiting Dera Ismail Khan.

Earlier, ECP had served a notice to Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s brother Zia-ur-Rehman over violation of election code of conduct in KP LG polls.

It is to be mentioned here that Peshawar High Court (PHC) had postponed second phase of local bodies election in KP that was scheduled to be held on March 27.

During the hearing at Abbottabad registry, the court remarked that people face problems in casting their votes due to heavy snowfall. The district government should re-arrange the date for local bodies election after Ramazan, the judge directed.

While talking to media, the PML-N leader said fake lies of PTI ministers have been exposed and that a liar is running the system of the state. The prime minister was silent on the incident of Pulwama attack, he went on to say.
