Asif Zardari, Bilawal Bhutto to meet Shehbaz Sharif today
Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and former president and party co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari will today meet Leader of Opposition in National Assembly and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president Shehbaz Sharif at his residence in Model Town.

PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif held a telephonic conversation with PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto and discussed matters relating to country’s political situation.

During the telephone call, Shehbaz Sharif invited him to attend the luncheon. Bilawal Bhutto accepted the invitation.

On the other hand, according to a statement issued by the spokesperson Bilawal House, the PPP co-chairman and party chairman will meet opposition leader on Saturday at 1.30 pm.

According to the spokesperson, Asif Ali Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will visit Shehbaz Sharif s residence in Model Town for a meeting.

Kashmir Solidarity Day being observed across the globe
Kashmir Solidarity Day is being observed today (Saturday) to express whole-hearted support of Pakistani nation to the just struggle of Kashmiri people for their inalienable right to self-determination.

The day is being marked to expose worst ever oppression being perpetrated by Indian occupation forces against Kashmiris in Indian Illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Solidarity walks are being held in Islamabad, Muzafarabad, Gilgit and in four provincial headquarters.

In Muzaffarabad, the special session of AJK Legislative Assembly will be held to express solidarity with the oppressed people of the Indian Illegally Occupied Kashmir who are enduring Indian atrocities for the past seven decades.

President Pakistan Dr Arif Alvi will address the session.

Kashmir Liberation Cell and Pasban-e-Hurriyat have arranged a Kashmir solidarity rally at Shaheed Burhan Muzaffarwani Chowk Muzaffarabad.

In Mirpur, human chain at Mangla Bridge will also be formed.

Rallies, public meetings, functions and seminars will be held to draw attention of the world towards the plight of Kashmiris.

Pakistan corona postivity ratio declines 9.67%

Pakistan corona postivity ratio declines 9.67%
Pakistan reported a slight decline in the COVID-19 infections as the positivity rate remained under 10% for the fourth consecutive day, recorded at 9.67%, the National Command and Operation Centre's (NCOC) data showed Saturday morning.

A significant drop in active cases has also been recorded as the number stood at 91,620 since it crossed 100k on January 30.
However, as per the statistics issued by the NCOC, 28 people lost their lives to the infection, bringing the overall death toll to 29,448.

The number of new cases in the last 24 hours stands at 6,137 after 1,664,560 diagnostic tests were conducted, placing Pakistan's COVID-19 confirmed cases at 1,454,800 since the pandemic started.

Spokesperson PML N Marriyum Aurangzeb lashed out at Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan on Friday and said that since the day Imran Khan became prime minister of Pakistan, the country’s debt has increased by 50 percent.

Maryam said that he has put a huge debt on each and every Pakistani.

The PML-N leader said that since the day Imran Khan became prime minister of Pakistan, the country’s debt has increased by 50 percent.

Marriyum Aurangzeb, while referring to a comment made by Imran Khan before he came in power, said that everyone should keep an eye on the PM as he may try to commit suicide for taking a loan from the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

The PML-N spokesperson further stated that income of the PM has increased by 90 percent in the past three years.

Earlier, Marriyum Aurangzeb had said that the shortage of urea in Punjab was just because of PM Imran Khan’s corruption.

In a statement, the PML-N leader said that the farmers were facing problems despite spending hefty amounts. Delay in provision of fertilizer could lead to severe wheat crisis in the country, she added.

Marriyum Aurangzeb further said that Imran mafia had made farmers ‘beggars’.
