Foreign Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed has said that no one can be allowed to take the law into his own hands. Foreign Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed met Punjab Chief Minister Usman Bazdar in Lahore to discuss political issues and the public order situation.

The Punjab Chief Minister said that rawalpindi's welfare projects will be completed at the earliest. The government has eliminated the negative politics of political vendetta. Foreign Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed said that the government is addressing the problems of the people of Rawalpindi on priority basis. The government is taking all possible steps to protect the lives and property of the people.

Sheikh Rashid Ahmed said that those who announced the march on March 23 should take the nails of consciousness. The government under the leadership of the Prime Minister is stronger than ever, the government will complete the term.

The Chinese ambassador said the forum would provide opportunities for more connectivity to investors in Pakistan and China.

Pakistan starts Covid-19 booster from today

Pakistan starts Covid-19 booster from today
Pakistan has started Covid-19 booster dose for all people who are over 30 years old.

National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), in a tweet, announced that citizens over 30 years will be eligible for booster dose of their choice.

However, the booster will be administered after 6 months gap from last dose.

Amid rising threat of Omicron variant of coronavirus, the forum has also urged people to follow SOPs, wear mask and ensure complete vaccination if eligible.

On the other hand, Pakistan has reported 2 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 1,297,235. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 28,943 on Monday.

According to the latest figures by the NCOC, 708 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

5.3-magnitude earthquake struck parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
A 5.3-magnitude earthquake struck parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Saturday.

Tremors were felt in Peshawar, Swat, Lower Dir, Swabi, Nowshera, Chitral, Bajaur, Malakand, Abbottabad, Mohmand and other surrounding areas.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the magnitude of the earthquake was measured 5.3 on the Richter Scale.

The epicentre was the Afghanistan-Tajikistan border.

People left their homes in panic for safer places but no loss of life and property was reported.

Meanwhile, Disaster Management Kashmir reported that an earthquake of magnitude 5.1 that occurred at the Afghanistan-Tajikistan border was also felt in Jammu and Kashmir at 6:45pm today, 

"An earthquake of magnitude 5.1 occurred 84-km South East of Fayzabad in Afghanistan," National Center for Seismology said.
