Noor Muqadam case: Court rejects bail plea of Zahir jaffer's parent
The local court judge has Thursday rejected the bail plea by Zahir Jaffer’s co-accused parents in the high profile Noor Mukadam murder case, reported.

Additional District And Sessions Judge Muhammad Sohail Anjum reserved yesterday the verdict on the pleas by prime accused Jaffer’s parents.

It was reported earlier yesterday, the local court dealing the Noor Mukadam murder case reserved its verdict on the plea for bail by Zakir Jaffer and Mrs Asmat Zakir, Zahir’s parents, for their suspected complicity in the grisly murder of ex-diplomat’s daughter.
The plea was submitted by defense counsel of Jaffer’s parents who, vis a vis the prosecution, fought the case with arguments drawn from preceding cases and verdicts.

The Additional District And Sessions Judge Muhammad Sohail Anjum heard the arguments and reserved the verdict which is set to roll out tomorrow.

It may be reminded that, facing their judicial remand, the co-accused parents of prime accused Zahir Jaffer are imprisoned in Adyala Jail.

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed has said that the Kashmir dispute should be resolved as per UN resolutions, adding that lasting peace in the region is not possible without resolving the dispute as per the aspirations of Kashmiris.

According to details, DG ISPR Major General Babar Iftikhar released a message of Army Chief General Qamar Javed on the occasion of Kashmir Exploitation Day from his official Twitter handle.
Army Chief General Qamar Javed has said that the worst state repression and the inhumane military siege continues in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJ&K), serious violations of human rights and international law are taking place in Occupied Kashmir while efforts are being made to change the geographical and population ratio.

The situation poses a serious threat to the security of the region, COAS Bajwa said and added that Kashmir dispute should be resolved under UN resolutions.

Nation stands firm with Kashmiris: Fawad Chuadry
Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry Thursday said that the nation stood with the Kashmiri brethren of Indian occupied Kashmir in their struggle for the right to self-determination.

In his message on the occasion of Youm-e-Istehsal, he said the Pakistani nation stands with Kashmiris like rock and the Indian action of Aug 5 will be reversed jointly.

He said Pakistan had fought four wars on Kashmir and our young people were martyred. And country’s economic, political and foreign policies revolve around the Kashmir issue.

The people of Kashmir have written a new history of sacrifices and the extremists, fascists like Narendra Modi could not defeat their resolve and commitment to sacrifice for Kashmir cause, he said.

He said that the flame of independence of Kashmir which was kindled by the people of occupied Kashmir seventy years ago was shinning with the same intensity.

The nation is observing Youm-e-Istehsal to express solidarity with the oppressed Kashmiri people on completion of the two-year military siege of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJ&K).

Corona claims 60 more lives across Pakistan in the last 24 hours
Pakistan has reported 5,661 new COVID-19 cases during the past 24 hours, making it the highest single-day number in last three months, reported quoting the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC).

The NCOC said that the country’s number of overall confirmed cases has risen to 1,053,660, including 952,616 recoveries, adding that the positivity rate of infections was recorded at 9.06 per cent.
The COVID-19 claimed 60 more lives across Pakistan in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll from the disease to 23,635, the NCOC said, adding that 4,050 people are in critical condition.

Overall 16,278,190 tests have been conducted so far to diagnose the deadly virus in Pakistan including 62,462 in the past 24 hours.
Sindh province is the most affected region of the country with 392,433 infections, followed by the Punjab province which has reported 360,494 cases.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa remains third on the list with 146,485 cases. Islamabad, 89,117, Balochistan, 30,880, AJK, 25,778 and GB have reported 8,473 new infections, so far.

The fourth COVID-19 wave in Pakistan has also affected medics with the number of health workers getting infected with the virus reaching 17,116.
