PPP not to disregard individuals of Gilgit-Baltistan: Bilawal
Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Sunday said that his party will not leave the people of Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) alone.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that PPP will provide the masses their constitutional rights. He maintained that Gilgit-Baltistan will be given provincial status and the people will get the right to rule soon.

Responding to a question, Bilawal said that conspiracies to keep PPP out of the polling process will not succeed. He maintained that rigging will not be allowed in the polls. Bilawal claimed that PPP will win the elections in Gilgit-Baltistan.

Earlier on October 26, Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari had claimed that only his party could resolve the problems of the masses.

Addressing a public meeting in Gilgit, Bilawal Bhutto had said that only PPP possessed the capability to resolve the public issue. He had maintained that his party will steer the country out of economic crisis.

The PPP chairman had urged the masses to support PPP in the forthcoming elections. PPP, in its tenure, had launched a historic ISP program to curb inflation and had increased government employees’ salaries by 100 per cent, he had added.

Shibli Faraz defends Gandpur,s sexist remarks against Maryam

Shibli Faraz defends Gandpur,s sexist remarks against Maryam
Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Shibli Faraz on Saturday defended his cabinet member Ali Amin Gandapur for his sexist remarks against Maryam Nawaz during a PTI rally in Gilgit-Baltistan (G-B), saying that such statements are routinely made during political speeches.

Per The News, Shibli said that Maryam Nawaz and other members of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) have made worse comments about the first lady, adding that the opposition has transgressed all boundaries by even criticising Pakistan’s national institutions which are deemed more important and respectful than individuals.

Speaking to a private news channel, the minister stressed that Prime Minister Imran Khan has never passed indecent remarks about women, adding that Maryam Nawaz is taking an undue benefit of being a woman.

“The media did not bat an eye when the opposition was constantly levelling baseless allegations against the first lady Bushra Bibi despite her non-political role,” he pointed out.

Shibli Faraz maintained that the government would not capitalise on the differences between the PPP and the PML-N by showing leniency towards any party in the ongoing accountability process.

He added that Jahangir Tareen is now back to Pakistan and he is ready to appear before the court as well as address media to answer all the questions related to the sugar scandal.

PM Imran congratulates president-elect Joe Biden

PM Imran congratulates president-elect Joe Biden
Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan has congratulated the United States President-elect Joe Biden and his vice president Kamala Harris in a tweet on Saturday soon after confirmed reports announced both Democrats have won.

He said he looked forward to President-elect Biden’s Global Summit on Democracy.

Prime Minister Khan added that he’d look forward to work with him to end illegal tax havens and stealth of the nation’s wealth by corrupt leaders.

We will also continue to work with the US for peace in Afghanistan and in the region, PM Khan noted.

It may be noted that Democrat Joe Biden has won the White House, US media said Saturday, defeating Donald Trump and ending a presidency that convulsed American politics, shocked the world and left the United States more divided than at any time in decades.

CNN, NBC News and CBS News called the race in Biden’s favor just before 11:30 am (1630 GMT) as an insurmountable lead in Pennsylvania took the 77-year-old over the top in the state-by-state count that decides the presidency.

Trump had no immediate reaction to the announcement, but as Biden’s lead grew during vote counts since Tuesday’s election, the Republican president lashed out with unsubstantiated claims of fraud and claimed, falsely, that he had won
