PCB not asking domestic players to resign from departments

PCB not asking domestic players to resign from departments
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has once again reiterated that the domestic players are not required to resign from their parent departments in order to obtain contracts for the 2020-21 domestic season.

PCB released its statement after growing opposition to the existing domestic structure, which was introduced as a replacement for the previous departmental set-up.

“The PCB is neither asking the players to resign nor to cancel existing contracts with their departments if they are interested in securing player contracts for the 2020-21 domestic season,” the PCB said in a statement.

“All the PCB is asking from the employed and contracted cricketers, in accordance with applicable policies and SOPs, is for them to provide No Objective Certificates (NOC) from their departments so that they can be offered contracts for the 2020-21 domestic season. The issuance of such NOCs is part of the normal course of business; is not only a PCB requirement but that of the departments as well; and is, in fact, a past practice,” it added.

“Once the relevant NOC has been issued by the player’s parent organization and submitted to the PCB, the PCB will make payments in accordance with the terms of the contract it has executed with the player.”

Domestic season 2020-21 is slated to start from November 30 with National T20 Cup in Multan and Rawalpindi.

“An employed cricketer can be offered 2020-21 domestic contract provided that the player has submitted the relevant NOC issued by his employer to the PCB in accordance with the rules and regulations applicable to such players. Whether or not the player will be paid by the employer is a matter between the two entities.”

The PCB has further explained that two types of contracts will be offered to the high-performing domestic players.

“A maximum of 32 players in each Cricket Association will be offered domestic central contracts, while the remaining players will be offered a seasonal contract.”

“Under the domestic contract, a player will be bound by the obligations of the domestic central contract and will receive a monthly retainer along with match fee, daily allowances, other related benefits etc. wherever applicable.”

Homemade remedies for pimples

homemad remedies for pimples
Pimples are one problem which is up on several women's list of skin concerns. The problem isn't restricted to women, men and some teenagers are equal sufferers

1. Keep you stomach clean

Firstly let's talk about the internal care. If you have been suffering from this problem, the most important thing is to keep a clean stomach. Avoid constipation at all costs. Take lots of green veggies like spinach, lettuce, cabbage, fenugreek, celery, among others and plenty of fresh salads and seasonal fruits. Drink at least 10-12 glasses of water daily and try and take some natural, fresh and un-canned juices along with this. This will help flush out toxins and cleanse your digestive system.

2. Food to avoid

Avoid red meats and if you can't avoid non-veg food, have lean meats, fish and chicken. Along with this, it's important to avoid certain foods. Say a firm no to sweets, fried foods, heavy oily and gravy dishes, chocolates, ice creams and aerated drinks at all cost. I have seen youngsters quench their thirst with colas instead of water and their parents not saying anything at all. Never do this and if you are a parent never allow this to happen. Teach your youngsters from an early age to eat green vegetables, fruits and drink plenty of water, it may be difficult at times but believe me they will thank you in the long run.

3. Clean regularly

Now coming to the external care of the stubborn, pimple prone skin. The golden rule is to keep clean at all times, be squeaky clean! Oily skins are always an easier prey to sprouting pimples, many times starting from blackheads and whiteheads, then going on to becoming stubborn, pus filled pimples. Make an antiseptic face tonic with the following ingredients:

100 gms fresh mint leaves
Boil in 1 litre of water, strain and let it cool
Add 1 tsp of camphor and dissolve in this solution completely.

Store this in the fridge and wipe your skin with this several times a day to remove excess oiliness.

4. Use a natural skin pack

You can make a skin pack at home using Sandalwood powder, Fuller's earth, Camphor and Rose water. Mix this and keep in a small bowl in the fridge and apply on clean skin. Let it dry completely and wash off with cold water. This should be done three to four times a week for results.

TikTok Rejected Buyout Offer: Microsoft

microsoft says TikTok Rejected Buyout Offer
US tech giant Microsoft said Sunday its offer to buy TikTok was rejected, as a deadline looms for the Chinese-owned video app to sell or shut down its US operations.

TikTok has been at the center of a diplomatic storm between Washington and Beijing, and President Donald Trump gave Americans a deadline to stop doing business with TikTok’s Chinese parent company ByteDance — effectively compelling a sale of the app to a US company.

Trump claims that TikTok could be used by China to track the locations of federal employees, build dossiers on people for blackmail and conduct corporate espionage.

“ByteDance let us know today they would not be selling TikTok’s US operations to Microsoft,” the US tech giant said in a statement referring to TikTok’s owner.

“We are confident our proposal would have been good for TikTok’s users, while protecting national security interests,” the statement added.

Following Trump’s executive order, Microsoft and Oracle were possible suitors to take over TikTok operations.

Microsoft said that it would have “made significant changes to ensure the service met the highest standards for security, privacy, online safety, and combatting disinformation.”

TikTok has filed a lawsuit challenging the crackdown by the US government, contending that Trump’s order was a misuse of the International Emergency Economic Powers Act because the platform is not “an unusual and extraordinary threat.”

Downloaded 175 million times in the US, TikTok is used by as many as a billion people worldwide to make quirky, short-form videos on their cellphones. It has repeatedly denied sharing data with Beijing.
